On April 07, 2011, ceremony was held in the Primary School “Bratstvo Edinstvo” in Sredno Konjari and on April 21, 2011 in the Primary School “Koco Racin” in Katlanovo, to mark the completion of the project from the Together for European Macedonia, programme 2010, financed by the Government of the Kingdom of Norway, managed by the Secretariat for European Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and implemented by BAR E.C.E.
BAR ECE as implementing partner has undertaken all necessary actions to implement both project components hard and soft component. Hard component or reconstruction of school building consisted of:
The aim of school reconstruction was providing improved energy efficiency.
In the same time in Primary School “Bratstvo Edinstvo in “Sredno Konjari USAID/PEP programme took part with similar project for reconstruction by replacing the old windows with new aluminum windows, resulting in improvement of energy efficiency of the school building.
This year special emphasis is given to the soft component, which provides for the introduction of non-formal education in multiethnic schools and encourage interaction between students of different ethnic backgrounds, overcoming ethnic differences and build a relationship of tolerance. The main components that comprise the soft component are free Albanian and English classes for students and teachers, free computer classes and free training for civic education and tolerance.
